There are vineyards, olive trees, oranges and tangerine plantations in the vicinity of Orebic. The world-famous gold-medal red wine Dingac is produced in the area.

Due to the city's unique Mediterranean microclimate even in southern Dalmatia, the season lasts from May to the end of October, but it is also an excellent place for a holiday on the Adriatic in the rest of the year, because in January and February it is not uncommon to see daytime temperatures of 10-16 C° in bright sunshine.

The town hosts events, folklore evenings and music concerts throughout the summer.

Health care: Orebic has three family doctors and a dentist, and Korčula also has a health clinic and a veterinarian.
